That is so nice of you Marek. Very useful indeed.
Of late, I am just exporting data via csv format. This will be a good solution. I think MSExcel can also open ODS formats.

New MS Excel can open .ods, of course.
But OpenOffice is free
A long time ago, our absent big friend Esgici asked me to prepare some instruction about export to excel and openoffice.
I'll prepare such a sample, but at march, I promise
Thanks for interesting!

Export to MS Excel and format sheet is easier than in OO Calc.
I'll prepare sample for both apps.

In both the cases, the exporting system SHOULD have the respective software. That is the problem. Without connecting any OLE if we can export to Excel/Openoffice format (like PDF export), that will be great.

OLE is probably a better method of data transfer to Excel, but some do not use Excel (not free). OpenOffice is not the best documented in this work. Data transfer via the clipboard is a good solution (but no formatting)
I tried Excel and OpenOffice, Excel better recognize numbers, for OpenOffice should ALLTRIM (str(Field)) solves the problem of blanks in front of / behind the data
What bothers me in both cases, the Regional options, the problem is a sign of a decimal point, it is usually the point but what if the comma? Where to find that this is a sign? Somewhere in the Registry?
