Thank's for ure tests !
i am an (old ) xbase++ programmer and i used to devellop very bigs app for custumer ( front and back office ) with databases more than 200 000 records. As i devellop in text mode with alsaska xbase++ ( gui is too complex ) i wanted to run with hmg.
i've made all my tests on my win7 server with vmvare and a lot of virtual machines.
As my tests were very bad, i beleive that it was hmg' bad rdd.
This morning i had a doubt about my reflection and made same tests with an xbase pgm. it was the same !
all that big s... comes from the bad record locking sheme in win 7 and 2008 server ( smb2 ), and i remember that all my custumers had an old 2003 server ...
so know that i've understood the real problem, i will make some tries with patching lanmanserver\parameters to have the same good results as with 2003 server.
i will post something if i found something !
sometimes i hate microsoft with it's changes for a worse computing....
