Sending/Receiving email through HMG prg

Good morning/evening !

Which possible sample programs are the best for sending / receiving an email from within a PRG?

There are several samples so maybe one of you know which is the best to start with.

It's hard to say which one is the best. My program sends mails via smtp/pop3. But, some firewalls or proxy servers block ports and mails can't be send.
