phpBB Forum using REST API ?

is it possible to request this Forum via REST API
there is a Project for phpBB at Github

Official REST API is not available for PHPBB Forums from the developers. But if this extension is working good, we can install. It is not a problem.

it would be great if Forum User can use REST when need to learn how it work.
when "ask" Website often REST is used to get "pure" Data without HTML Code

hm ... it there a mobile App for phpBB Forum
when visit this Forum via Smartphone using Browser all is "small" and i have to "zoom" ...
would be nice to use REST for Smartphone and read Message like "todo" List
