recibir respuesta de un ejecutable externo

Si tengo la necesidad de llamar a un ejecutable en python y devuelve una serie de strings, hay alguna forma de capturar esa salida de python en el exe que lo llamó?.

If python can print to file, you could create an import into your hmg tables.
I do this with my tire and automotive shop pos system. My client goes to their wear house internet catalog and creates a quote for tires and is able to put that quote right on to an estimate or invoice in my pos system. It works very quickly.
