Hi,
Those of you following Viktor's fork of Harbour would note that now hbmk2 -cpu=x64 produces a 64bit application directly on the same code.
https://github.com/vszakats/harbour-cor ... /v3.4.0dev
I have tried with Harbour hbmk2 -cpu=x86_64, it now produces 32bit app. I have notified the same in Harbour-user forum requesting if similar command would directly produce a 64bit application.
MY REQUEST IS IF THE DEVELOPERS AT HMG CAN ALSO INTRODUCE A SIMILAR Option since we are also using hbmk2 with options. IT WOULD THEN BE SO EASY TO MIGRATE 32 BIT APPS TO 64 BITS.
Warm regards,
Jayadev

hbmk2 -cpu option
Hi Jayadev,
No body answered to your propose. I only read just now and I will give you my opinion.
I think when we are building 64bits in HMG is requiring a lot of configurations (setup of enviroments) in order to be differentiated from 32 and 64 bits. Because many HMG internal functions are treated in different way between 32 and 64. By the same reason you have to prepare in prior when you want to work with 32 or 64 with respective libs.
And the other point is we are using Przemyslaw not from Viktor version.

Re: hbmk2 -cpu option
A long time ago that HMG generates applications in 64bit, it is only download compilers 64-bit of section download of this forum, recreate the libs in 64bit and compile applications with build64.batjayadevu wrote:Hi,

See the HMG doc about 64 bit. All this process is very easy.
How to migrate an application from 32 to 64 bits is very simple, all steps are described in the doc of HMG.
