I do not know if it was a change in version 3.4.2, but the value in Main.Grid1.Cell (nrow, 1) is of type Character and is null chr (0).

thanks for report this bug, I introduced in HMG.3.4.1.
I fixed, please unzip this file in c:\hmg.3.4.2\source and rebuild the lib.
