Hi All

Regarding some of last posts, I'm thinking that we need an article about "What isn't HMG ?" in addition to What is HMG ?

- Does HMG is a DBMS ?

- Does HMG have goals to compete against commercial DMBS products or anything else ?

- Does HMG is for program writers or program makers ?

- Does HMG must have some extra features for busy and lazy programmers ?

Only random thoughts.

Does anyone could expand this topic ?

I can't understand the difference between program writers and program makers. Does it mean Program Makers: Who creates a software starting from dreaming about it, analyzing it and finally creates it. And Program Writers: Who writes the source code as per instruction of a system analyst (or may be some other person). Is my interpretation correct?

The list (What isn't HMG?) continues:-

* HMG is very complex.

* You need to have thorough knowledge of windows internals to create software with HMG.

* You need to be an expert in C/C++ programming to create software with HMG.

Sorry, my (very) limited language ( English ) skill prevent me to clearly explicate my thoughts.

Program making is highest level of programming. Using always ready to use prefab materials, (such as some *.ocx and another else) and having ability to say "I made this application without a single line of code".

Program writing isn't lowest level. Simply having ability to writing their own materials instead of prefabs.
