And third :

HMG.4 is a continuation of HMG OBJECTS and is in alpha (development) phase, not finished yet.

So you have download and use HMG 3.035, last stable version on HMG, from here.

This is a complete package, including IDE and documentation (yes, very helpful for newbies too ).

As far as know there isn't a function named TREG32 in HMG nor Harbour

Probably you got this prg from another source.

I don't know you are aware or not, MiniGUI Extended and HMG are two separate projects.

I remember, in our forum some .pdf based discussions past. By using search feature of forum, I hope you will find some hints or helps.

By the way, working on special file formats like .pdf, isn't a bit high concepts for a newbie ?

In my humble opinion, beginning as far as simple samples will be better way for learning.

I got two prg files: rampdf.prg and pdf.prg. They both forms whole project.
In rampdf.prg (main module) i got main routine. There was 1 problem with it:
it included line "set procedure to pdf", so after first build with hmg3.35 I got list of information, e.g.
.hbmk\win\mingw\pdf.o:pdf.c:(.text+0x0): multiple definition of `HB_FUN_GETDEFAULTPRN'
.hbmk\win\mingw\rampdf.o:rampdf.c:(.text+0x0): first defined here
.hbmk\win\mingw\pdf.o:pdf.c:(.text+0x280): multiple definition of `HB_FUN_GETOPENCOMMAND'
.hbmk\win\mingw\rampdf.o:rampdf.c:(.text+0x2a0): first defined here

etc., so I removed line "set procedure to pdf", and after build there was left only this error meesage mentioned before.

This prg contains functions I don't know of which lib, if any... I'll send i to You, ok?

As for now I found Treg32() is a part of TREG class found in FiveWin... But I don't see over here (in my folders) any fivewin libs.

Strange thing is why that code compiles with old version of minigui and with new one generates an error.

Ha! I found a .bat file containg... looks like a script or what? I'll link it too, ok?

Most probably this is a MiniGUI Extended project, and sadly, I haven't sufficient knowledge about it

Relation between this two versions (there are more version of HMG), isn't one is older and other is newer; both are advancing in parallel and growing away from each other. So any project compiled in one of them may not compile-able with other, this is a normal result.

Regarding FiveWin, as far as I know it's a commercial product and HMG haven't any lib for it.

My humble suggestion is: please forget this job for now. Begin learning HMG at the beginning. After a very short time I'm sure that you will write your own pdf prg by starting from the scratch

PS: By the way, this is weekend and most of our friends is out of forum (some of them prefers real friends to virtual ones ). After Sunday may come a friend expert in MiniGUI extended, and may help you.

Thanks for Your infos and advices! I think it's really better to me to know HMG from scratch and so i'll do.
I thought if i get old version of HMG and that code links with it well, I'll just make necessary changes and use old HMG for just that pdf stuff.
