HMG does not have "CHECKBOXES" ... this is in MiniGUI Extended Version Syntax
have a look at HMG Sample X:\hmg.3.4.4\SAMPLES\Controls\Grid\Grid_CheckBoxes\

btw. "how" do you "check" as you do not use ON CHECKBOXCLICKED
