Well is that the way I remember about him. Here in Brazil and for all latina América, we call the persons by the first name not by the surname. Only we use surnames in very very formal situations, but friends do not needs formaities, don't you think that ?

My father is 83 years old and suffers from Alzheimer's. Unfortunately this disease has no cure, but my dad lives well its 83 years and with good humor he makes fun when your memory fails. He jokes that Alzheimer's has an advantage over the parkinson's: it is better to forget to pay the beer than tear it down.
I learned from him that the secret of life is to laugh at our problems.

Meu pai tem 83 anos e sofre de Alzheimer. Infelizmente esta doença não tem cura, mas meu pai vive bem seus 83 anos e com bom humor, ele tira sarro quando sua memória falha. Ele brinca dizendo que a doença de Alzheimer tem uma vantagem sobre o mal de Parkinson: é melhor esquecer de pagar a cerveja do que derrubá-la.
Aprendi com ele que o segredo da vida é rir de nossos problemas.
