Anybody knows if by HMG generated executables will run on the new Windows 11 OS?

Last month I installed the generally available pre-release copy of Windows 11 on a spare drive. My Intel CPU is short of the minimum 8th generation that the release OS will require. (Mine is 7th generation).

To your specific question, I ran one HMG utility program that I had compiled under Windows 10. It ran fine under this Windows 11 OS.

I also loaded HMG 3.5 onto this drive. I was then able to work on, compile, and run my project without any apparent issues.

My limited experience with this “early” Windows 11 suggests that HMG and Windows 11 may be generally compatible. Note: My testing was in no way exhaustive. Hope this is helpful.

Very reasonable your question, however, before this, we have to answer another more basic question:
Can windows 11 run on our PCs?
for the history: a not so aged Dell tablet (intel i5 with 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD and windows 10,
running flawlessly and everything), is not regarded as much a good candidate to run this marvellous OS.
After running the (so called) `Health Check` (!), Ms, very seriously, opined that this poor thing is "incapable
to run new windows and if I still want to enter the brave new world of 11's, I must go buy a new machine."
``Oh, really?``
(by the way, I didn't even try to check my old xeon workstation. I was sure the comment by the `Health Check`
would be much more... insulting, and then i would have to reply in the same way... )

Many people believe that one of the main problems is the requirement that the hardware must have a TPM chip, which is not present in many of the PC that are currently in use.

when 1st Windows 11 was present in Windows Insider DEV Channel i have ask for 32 Bit OS ... but it was Cancel
my "Mini-PC" does not have TPM ... which also can be used for "Secure Pay" e.g in M$-Store.

you can install Windows 11 "without" TPM / Secure Boot but i guess those "Hacks" will not work when you want to "Secure Pay" from your PC in Future.

using TPM you can "identify" PC for "Online-Banking" so it will be a "must have"

when i got 1st Windows 11 "leak" i was surprise ... not hear about it before.
but some Days later M$ "Official" spread it in DEV Channel and talk about "Release" ...

as i have used all Windows 10 Build from DEV Channel (each Week 3 GB)
it seem me a "early Bird" to "Release" Windows 11 now ... just after 3 x Upgrades in DEV Channel.
OK, most BUGs i found have be (Quick) fixed by M$ but i have not test it in Network with Server 2021 yet.

now "all" can "test" Windows 11 "Release", when Hardware is "ready", and there Apps and Games
IMHO it will take some Time until M$ fix all those BUGs of Windows 11 ...

as Developer i have bought a new Ryzen 4650G to "test-drive" Windows 11 ... before Customer switch to 11 and ask me "how" ...

Yes, it is a main problem.

Did you install w 11 over w 10 or new installation on clean drive?
