This was my thinking too, but:

Clipper was very popular in south America and Spain, so there are lots of xBase Spanish language programmers. Many of these programmers doesn't know English language and automatic translators are not good enough to create fully 'understandable' translated messages.

For those that could write the messages twice (in both languages, like me) is a very time consuming task (and error prone too) so, I'm sure that many people simply choose to not participate on the forums to be English language based.

This is an attempt to get things better, if this not work as I hope, we try to find a better solution.

Regards,

Roberto.

Clipper isn't popular only in south America and Spain, its popular in whole world. And programmers haven't learned it (and any other programming language) in his/her native language.

This is very old discussion. Personally, I don't like this "Yankee" language. But this is our unique opportunity for understanding each other. Currently we have many "Spanish only" Harbour/HMG site ( HMG.com by Pepe Ruano, HMG-es, OOHG, etc ) and personally I could never utilize nor participate them :( And surely they have many informations that will be useful for any HMG user like me.

Surely, finding all necessary information in his/her own language is very good thing. But for future of HMG, internationality is a very important issue and its language must be English as always. Otherwise, its will be a condemnation to a constricted geography and people.

This is my personal opinion only. HMG is your own "obra" and the final decision for its future, make it international or regional is belonging to you.

With best regards

That is the point. Part of Spanish-only users (hopefully) will be here too, with us, so, could be easier to stablish some kind of bridge (if someone volunteers for that) to stablish a basic communication between us.

Anyway, us I've said, this is try. If this not work, we can do it better.

Roberto.

Hola Maestro
Es de agradecer un foro en Español.
Pero amigos y compañeros como los que hay en este foro, dudo que los encontremos
No me importa seguir usando traductores de ingles, he aprendido mucho con Vds.
Gracias

Hello Master
It is appreciated a forum in Spanish.
But friends and colleagues as those in this forum, I doubt we can find them
I will continue using English translators, I have learned a lot with Vds.
Thanks
