Oh my precious C64 .....so many memories and fun times.I actually wrote my first program on that C64, if i remember correctly the language was BasicVer 3.0?

In the summer of 1980, the very expensive new computer we got at work (I don't even remember the name!) had 64K of RAM. To use Visicalc (the original spreadsheet, loaded from an 8-inch floppy disc) took forever to load just the main menu, then, when you made a choice, it released the main menu from memory and loaded the code for the selected module. I think that each menu module was 3-5K, so after loading the OS and any module, you had a max of maybe 50K for data - which you could save if you took out the Visicalc program disc and put in another floppy -- if you'd remembered to format one first. All viewed in glorious green characters on a black screen, 80 x 24, on a monitor that weighed about as much as a small refrigerator and cost a whole lot more! Such memories!
