Me queda aun la esperanza de que me contesten de Adobe, ya que el problema no estoy seguro resida exclusivamente en AR.-
He probado la versión AR11 bajo Win XP SP3 y funciona correctamente abriendo desde HMG cualquier tipo de PDF.-
He probado las asociaciones de archivos PDF en win 7 y 8 y me funcionan correctamente, por lo que no me cierra que EXECUTE FILE NNN.PDF no funcione; si mal no entiendo, EXECUTE FILE dispara la asociación directa entre el *.PDF y su aplicación, al igual que ocurre con los *.DOC y MSOffice Word.-
La opción SUMATRA es "la solución" sin duda alguna; el problema es como indicarle a un cliente que para poder ver el resultado de un proceso en su PDF tiene que descargar e instalar SUMATRA.-
Si bien SUMATRA no difiere demasiado en los comandos de AR, es un cambio, y muchos son resistentes a los cambios.-
Me queda por investigar si las diferentes versiones de Office posteriores a la 2007, pueden o no tener que ver con este problema, sobre todo considerando que esas aplicaciones generan o importan PDF directamente.-
Lamentablemente la maquina en la que hice los test tenia instalado el Office 2013 con Win 8.-
De todos modos, tus recomendaciones son muy valiosas, quedará por verse como instrumento que empiecen a usar SUMATRA.-

I'm using Windows 7 Prof.SP1 and Acrobat Reader XI and everything works OK.
I've been working with Foxit Reader ver 6.1.4.0127 and everything was OK, too.

I'm using code:

where cPDFFile contains whole path and filename to file to be open.

If it works fine for you, I must have make some mistake on my HMG, so i'll check what was wrong.-

I'm testing on Windows 8.1 now.
Acrobat Reader X worked OK.
Windows built-in pdf viewer works OK, too.

I've installed newest version - AR XI and still everything is OK.
You have to search source of problem in your system.
Maybe try to uninstall AR and install it back?

Hi Mol:

You are right.- I, tried on another machine with Win 8.1 & AR XI and all works fine.-
I check, and discover that the conflict was between AR XI and my full installation of Adobe Acrobat 9.-
Some time ago i purchase Acrobat 9 Enterprise Edition, and never upgrade it's components; so when i install AR XI, this versions overlaps AR 9 & Acrobat 9, both versions are incompatible.-
Again, thanks for your effort and investigation.-
I'm sorry to take your time, when i must be more dedicated looking simple conflict that comes from an incorrect installation.-
