Hi.
I have never used HMG3.
I started with HMG4 because I am interested in QT, HMG3 does not use QT.
I have lots of code in console mode and want to convert them to GUI in a slow-motion.
I also have a bunch of GUI code in FiveWin but I think that Linux is a long term road-map and QT is multiplataform, very high-level and have a huge framework, so, in my vision, QT is the future for GUI in Harbour.
And I suspect most people here share this vision about QT.
But, ( always have a but
) after playing around with HMG4 for some time I am getting disappointed with some concepts it adopts, specially those related with inheritance and OOP, and I am looking for options, even using QT directly...
Please, no offence to anyone here, HMG4 is great !!!
Another question is xHarbour x Harbour... Seems to me that the X fork is falling down and I am moving to Harbour, but this task is very easy if you do not use xHarbour.com´s closed libs.

Yes. QT is nice. That's why HMG4 is based on QT. It is really a paradigm shift and a right decision taken at the right time by Roberto.
No problem. If you can list out the concepts you are disappointed with, we can see that whether it is possible to have both your suggestions and HMG3 compatibility. But, ( always have a but) after playing around with HMG4 for some time I am getting disappointed with some concepts it adopts, specially those related with inheritance and OOP, and I am looking for options, even using QT directly...

East or West HMG is the Best.
South or North HMG is worth.
...the possibilities are endless.
