Hi,

I tried to write a function for grid. With parameters I can call it from anywhere .

Field names, headers, window and grid sizes , file name ,column controls , key - and- button functions ...etc

OK , you will say . "Then what ?"
As I am a beginner , would you please be kind to look at my code and tell me your opinion so that I will see my faults....

in dchoice function you will see the parameters explanation .. and also a dbf for sample running.

I am sure you can find the difference between child/modal windows. In your application, if you press the run button again, keeping the child window open, you will get run time error, because, a window can be defined only once.

To avoid this, you can make the window to be modal, so that, the user has to close first the window to click the run button again. Otherwise, you have to check for iswindowdefined()/iswindowactive().

Even though it might not be wrong, IMHO, it is better to have the controls 'tight' inside a window. That is, we should not leave empty space anywhere. This will save movement of mouse, there by avoiding some ache in hands.
