Where did I go wrong with calldll32 ?

Dear all:
i need to call function in CsHis.dll in order to read data from IC card. Followings are parts of coding.

ErrorCode : Error code that hisReadPrescriptMain() returns.
[out]pOutpatientPrescription : data that hisReadPrescriptMain() returns.
[in/out]iBufferLenOutpatient : length of pOutpatientPrescription.
[in]iStartPos : initial position I would like to read in ic card.
[in]iEndPos : end position I would like to read in ic card.
[in/out]*iRecCount: how many number I would to read.

Hi,

To get a clue please check what h_contromisc.prg is doing on line 7930, is it doing str() on it or trim, etc. Cx05 problem is a generic error trapping. So it follows that before you attempt to read the data, make sure that the connection to comm port and reader is well established meaning a handshake and carrier is detected by the computer.

If you have hypertimal, procomm or other communication program, verify (interrogate) the connecvity if you can manually read from the comm port. Please make sure that you set the correct speed (baud rate), parrity, etc. In Ubuntu, you can use minicom.

Thanks for your supports.
There is another function in CSHIS.DLL named hisGetBasicData.
ERRORCODE=hisGetBasicData(char *pBuffer， int *iBufferLen)
I call hisGetBasicData as reference said and error message return as attachment.
Then I modify my code as following and works.
Local m_par01:=space(72),m_par02:=72
m_ermsg:=calldll32( "hisGetBasicData","CsHis.dll",m_par01,space(72),m_par02)

I tried over and over with various combinations of syntax and parameters. one of those is successful and good to apply to other functions in the same DLL file.
I pass the parameter refers to length of buffer with specified space by manual instead of numberic.
For example, the syntax of callinf hisReadPrescriptMain() on maunal like following:
hisReadPrescriptMain(char *pOutpatientPrescription， int *iBufferLenOutpatient， int iStartPos， int iEndPos，int *iRecCount).

The code block use to call function hisReadPrescriptMain() like following:

m_ermsg:=calldll32( "hisReadPrescriptMain" , "cshis.dll" ,@m_par01,@m_par02,1,60,@m_par05)

I think the cshis.dll is receiving a wrong type of parameter. From the manual, the parameters are:
char
int
int
int
int

The way you pass the variables are:
char
char
int
int
char

Perhaps that is the source of the problem? The function is expecting to received a numeric value but it receives a character instead.

now the way I use is 『char char int int char』and it is done.
that is the reason I confuse about manual.
I already mail to developer of dll.
May have a answer lately.
