Hello,

1. Where can I find a listing and\or docs on all the xHarbour hb_ functions available?

When I Google for xHarbour answers I find these gems of hb_FunctionName functions.
Many times they are not included in the standard xHarbour docs and the like.

2. Are there any for profit xHarbour vendors that you would recommend to purchase xHarbour docs from?

Yeah good question Melliot. I did not find any Harbour book out there at least by googling. Pretty sure something will come out soon. Would buy it!

Just to remind you folks - Sudip & Rathi once initiated the project of writing a book on HMG! I think they need "sponsors" or "donors" first to begin this project!!

Thanks all for your comments. I will exhaust the Search option better before posting.

It seems my journey to find xHarbour docs is not unique. I am an Oracle book author. I have been considering writing a book so others can have an easier path in ramping up with xHarbour\HMG.

My last Oracle book is still available on Amazon:

I am not trying to sell my book here. Just show you I know the ropes.

I might be an anomaly in being a good programmer and book writer. Just came natural to me to take something not well know and find words and ways to make it more accessible to others.

There seems to be a need for such a book. Do you guys agree?

"Good programmers are bad documenters" doesn't means "Good documenters are bad programmers"; contrarily, writing a book requires deep knowledge on the subject and extra competence on authorship. In programming area it's impossible writing a programming book without been programmer in competent level. So I must say : "Good documenters must be very good programmers".

Good programmers are bad documenters, because they are rushed for time; they are spends almost all their time to programming.

But I couldn't understand why you are insistent saying "xHarbour", please say [x]Harbour at least.

A book on Harbour / HMG: apparently there are many people waiting such thing. No for discourage, but there are two major difficulty : First : everything is changing with a dizzy speed; between starting and completed a single sentence, it may be changed. Second : a book is an economic value, have a cost and must have a price. How many people is ready to pay?

Again, please don't be discouraged; in HMG community we have a catch-phrase learned by out Master : Don't abandon your dreams !
