I found none of the webcam programs are working. I am not good at understanding the inner workings.
Microsoft in windows10 has changed something (adobe?) explorer?.
One of my clients can not take pictures anymore. I am in trouble.
windows 10 web cam works good but pictures are kilobytes instead of megabytes. Can not figure how to shrink size or change camera settings.
I see in my webcam program
DEFINE ACTIVEX ACTIVEX2
ROW 10
COL 7
WIDTH 230
HEIGHT 300
PROGID "SHELL.EXPLORER.2"
END ACTIVEX
I think this problem ... not sure. Or could be swf file
Has anyone else run into this yet.

Re: webcams
hi,
i had the same Problem with my Table PC which have Front/Rear CAM.
i get to "Setup" to choise a CAM ... but than it say "no Device"
IHMO it is a "Security" Problem also with DRM in Windows WMP.
i got some FiveWin Code, which work with Directshow, but still to hight for me to "modify C Code".
you will find a Thread on FiveWin-Forum "how" to use Source ... need "visual Express" to build LIB.
---
VideoLan ( VLC ) also use DirectShow and can open "Device" so try to get your CAM
have never try to get "Device" via ActiveX
